Egyptian Media Production City Company (EMPC) extends its deep thanks and sincere appreciation to all concerned parties and institutions in the Egyptian state for their efforts to film the episode of international YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known as Mr. Beast, which was filmed inside the pyramids plateau for a period of 5 days and more than 8 hours of filming daily. The episode was watched by millions of followers through his official channel on YouTube, the matter that left a great impact on all viewers around the world who were amazed by what they saw in the video clip, which was filmed professionally using state-of-the-art techniques and under the supervision of Egypt Film Commission at EMPC.
EMPC expresses its gratitude and special thanks to the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Tourism and Antiquities, the National Security Authority, the Military Intelligence Administration, and the National Security Sector for their constructive cooperation with Egypt Film Commission at EMPC and all the assistance they provided, whether by providing helicopters, drones, insurance, and obtaining the security and archaeological approvals during the filming of the episode.
EMPC also extends its great thanks to the distinguished archaeologist Professor. Zahi Hawass for his distinguished participation with the important archaeological information and the great effort he exerted during the filming of the episode “Mr. Beast inside the pyramid”.
EMPC also deeply thanks the officials at the General Media Free Zone, Cairo International Airport, and the Customs Administration, who provided all the facilities for the the foreign work team, which reached about 70 persons, in addition to the accompanying equipment, devices, and cameras, in a smooth, fast and professional manner befitting the importance of the event.
It is noteworthy to mention that Egypt Film Commission at EMPC is the official body responsible for issuing permits for filming foreign movies within the Arab Republic of Egypt. This is done in coordination with the relevant authorities and according to the one-stop-shop system, which allows international production companies to execute their productions in Egypt from one place only without any administrative obstacles or red tape.
The commission provides all production services, customs and logistical facilities, in addition to security escorts, helicopters and drones during the shoot in Egypt. During the past four years, the commission has supervised the filming of more than 70 feature films from various nationalities in many archaeological sites and tourist attractions in Egypt.
